The best me is always on the road

The story of today is much like any other.
I'm sad to say that tomorrow
will most likely be the same.
Brushing ones teeth and going to work.
Wishing for the weekend to come.
We are supposed to enjoy the journey
Be thankful for everything.
I am thankful.
I have received many blessings.
But does it not seem,
this wonderful gift of life
should be more than monotony?
Am I the only one searching not for stability,
but for adventure?
Am I the only one uncomfortable
surrounded by the comforts of home?
Am I the only one who finds home in the wandering
and fear in the expected?
The world is a grand place
and time consumes relentlessly.
I want to search and see
and do and be.
My best me is always on the road.
